Fashion Bargains to Be Found as Retailers Offer Heavy Discounts on Clothing Ranges
Anyone looking to order clothing via safe shopping online and achieve a significant saving can do so thanks to a new initiative launched by Marks & Spencer, with its latest sale launched as it seeks to unburden itself of fashion products that have failed to sell in the wake of the ongoing pandemic.
Savings of a minimum of 50 per cent are available as a part of this scheme, which is only available to its e-commerce customers. Furthermore, a tenth of all the cash raised as a result is being set aside for charities linked to the NHS.
Those who decide to take advantage of this unprecedented opportunity to nab a bargain will either be able to get the products shipped directly to their doorsteps or instead choose to collect them from their nearest M&S store free of charge.
M&S is not the only retailer to try and shift large volumes of unsold clothing at the moment, with other brands, including Debenhams and Boohoo, providing similarly enticing offers.
Some retailers, including Next, do have their own offers and deals on at the moment, although they are deliberately avoiding the promotion of them on their home pages in order to manage demand, according to Internet Retailing.
The fashion sector has suffered one of the most significant setbacks as a result of coronavirus, since in addition to widespread store closures as part of the lockdown conditions imposed in the UK, millions of consumers have also avoided splashing out on new garments because they have not needed to leave the house or be seen in public.
The charity element of M&S’s scheme is to be applauded, although it is also a sign that there is a need to incentivise spending with more than just the availability of serious discounts.
