Today the Guardian reported 0.4% retail growth in July compared to June, with big improvements in clothes, electrical items and furniture.

At Shopsafe we've seen a similar trend with 1.2% more visitors to online shops from the Shopsafe web site in July than in June.

More interesting is that the information we get about sales at the retailers. Our statistics show a rise of over 2% in online retail sales, suggesting that customers are doing less window shopping and are prepared to buy online again.

If you've bought online in July then keep it up, it could be online shoppers that pull us out of a recession.
