Google trends is a fantastic tool - it can show you how popular specific searches are at certain times.

We wondered how people were coping with the heatwave, and what they were looking for to keep cool, and we found that searches for "paddling pools" and "air conditioners" were very popular as the weather got hotter. But neither were as popular as searches for "shopping online" or "voucher codes".

Proof that us Brits like to stay cool by saving money? Maybe not, but it shows that saving money is something we can do all year round.
