Shop around to make christmas more festive.

Shopping around for festive online offers could help families save enough to pay for Christmas dinner and some celebratory Champagne for New Year, according to experts at www.shopsafe.co.uk.

On average, each adult spends £384 on Christmas shopping. However, with the advent of voucher codes, some extra time spent online can help people make significant savings.

Graham Miller, director at www.shopsafe.co.uk, said: "If you shop around, it’s possible to save around 10% across the festive shopping period. People tend to think of voucher codes as being for things like two-for-one main courses at restaurants. These are great as little treats, but with a little further exploration you can find some major savings on gifts and other larger products, such as electricals."

www.shopsafe.co.uk is one of the UK’s top rated shopping directories, with 4,000 retailers having earned their place on the site by passing rigorous online safety checks to give consumers reassurance. Around 10,000 customers per day use the site to access safe online retailing and a range of advice and offers.

Graham continued: "Retailers on www.shopsafe.co.uk place voucher codes on our site so that customers not only get peace of mind, they also get an opportunity to save, which is very handy at this time of year. Our current list of vouchers includes an exclusive £5 off orders of £15 or more at www.prezzybox.com and the likes of Play.com, needapresent.com and Mothercare are all offering generous savings.

"With a 10% saving on the average Christmas shopping bill, as well as voucher codes for money off decorations and even fancy dress outfits, the cost of the festive season can really drop. A family with two adults could realistically save almost £80, which can go a long way towards a good family celebration over Christmas and New Year."
